Our Mission

Back In Time For Bed is a support network to help working parents across the travel industry. We strive to create a positive impact in our community.

We want to offer support to those parents & guardians with their childcare questions, hot topics & challenges.

We also want to celebrate those employers who are supporting working parents and give tools to companies to improve/implement working parent policies

Hi! I’m Anna and I had my baby boy Chester in February 2022. To say he has turned our lives upside down is an understatement… all for the better though! My wife & I went through a year of fertility treatment- which had its massive ups and downs but finally caught after IVF.

I returned back to work after 6 months maternity leave but something didn’t feel quite right. I felt like I had lost myself, struggled with lots of time working out on the road and had constant guilt. I made the decision to leave a role which I loved to side step into a different area of the travel industry.

It was the BEST decision I ever made, not only for myself but for my family. Having a baby & career can be a juggling act but we’re all in this together so lets talk about it

Hi, I am Vicky, and I am mum to my gorgeous little girl called Ellie. I had Ellie on my 40th Birthday so in today’s world I am classed as a mature mum! My pregnancy journey was not the easiest, I suffered with Hyperemesis for the full 9 months, which coupled with covid isolation meant I was quite wounded by the time Ellie arrived. That said I would not change it for the world.

I have worked in the travel industry for c.25 years, and I can honestly say I love it! I have done since day one, but coming back to work after having Ellie was a real struggle, my workplace lacked flexibility and my confidence suffered. I had no choice but to leave and find an employer who was more flexible.

At the time I felt anxious but looking back now I am so pleased I took a new direction. Its still a daily challenge with work life, parent guilt etc, but I am muddling through. What I want to do now is focus on supporting all of those working parents in our industry and BITFB is going to do just that!
